Walking up the steps under the pavilion at Union Square is one of the more special but underappreciated moments almost all New Yorkers have experienced.

In spite of the commotion of the city in every direction and the rumble of the subway below, this tiny corner offers just a touch of humanity, a little breath of life, to the morning or evening commute. In an effort to reaffirm this unlikely symbol of our home, I created this print from a sketch that began on location during peak fall.

As with the other matching prints in this collection, each order is fulfilled by a small print shop and sent in a protective mailing tube, so please note the signature is digital and the paper may need to be rolled out a bit before hanging or framing.
